In June 2016, ONESOURCE released the first iteration of ONESOURCE Workpapers. You now can push and pull ONESOURCE data for ad hoc workpapers using a new MS Excel Add-In for Active Workpapers.

 

•Reduce process time and risk using integrated Excel workpapers that incorporate and automate offline calculations.

•Create user-defined Excel-based workpapers using hundreds of Tax Provision data points.

•Ability to create ad hoc workpapers, for example, ONESOURCE Active Workpapers using a new MS Excel Add-In.

•Push and pull data across ONESOURCE applications using custom Excel functions.

•Create formulas using simplified and intuitive wizards that guide you through the process.

•Retain existing XML import maps using compatibility with the Data Import add-in.

•Upload and manage Excel workpapers using a secure, cloud-based platform.

•Ability to upload any Excel workpaper to the platform.

•Organize and manage workpaper inventory using the search/filter/grouping functionality.

•Prevent unauthorized changes by checking workpapers in/out or locking them.

•Batch process workpapers with parallel and sequential processing.

•Attach review notes to workpapers.

•Centralized visibility of workpapers across tax processes.

•Increase audit preparedness.

 

Workpapers Permissions

•The new ONESOURCE Workpapers application has a robust set of permissions. Users can have specific permissions assigned for a workpaper.

oUser Administration for Workpapers is only one permission for all instances as permissions are not set for each instance.

oUpon upgrade, users that are in the ONESOURCE Tax Provision administration group in any instances will have Admin access in User Administration for Workpapers. All other users will have Read Only access in User Administration for Workpapers.
