A dataset retains a collection of the tax & accounting data for a specific period of time. You can create new datasets, copy them, roll them over, and combine them. Users are given permissions to access datasets in the system. Some users will have Administrator permissions and others may be assigned Read-Only or Read-Write permissions. Administrators are responsible for creating and maintaining datasets. The types of datasets that you work with include Provision, Estimated Payments, and Interim.

 

Provision

•You create Provision datasets to manage all aspects of a standard provision dataset.

•Provision data is gathered, stored and calculated to generate provision reports.

 

Estimated Payments

•You create Estimated datasets to manage all aspects of a standard compliance dataset.

•Compliance data is gathered, stored and calculated to generate estimated payments and extension reports.

 

Interim

•You create Interim datasets to manage all aspects of an interim dataset.

•Interim provision data is gathered, stored and calculated to generate the forecast rate to arrive at the interim provision reports.

•The actual data gathered is used to compare with the forecast data.
